I believe in the power of being small instead of being big. I believe in the power of being quiet instead of making noise. I believe in the power of healing instead of justifying. I believe in the power of the unremarkable and unspeakable, the soft, gentle and ephemeral.
From Feb 24th, 2022, I started to knit one sentence every day, as a personal ritual. The sentences come from my personal experience of that day – what I see, what I hear, what I read, what I feel. By knitting, I aim to elevate every daily ephemeral experience into a piece of artwork. The sentences stand for themselves, and at the same time, embody my wandering soul.
So here I am now, standing, solidly on the ground, with hands and feet. And every moment, I can feel.
Living in a world full of violence and disruption, Lucy considers artmaking as a way that enables us to share kindness, love and care.
