The Church Street Tales book and exhibition project began in April 2018. A collaboration between Church Street residents and illustration students at the Royal College, it has been a fantastic knowledge exchange opportunity, in partnership with the London Print Studio, who initiated the project. Numbers were limited: Andrzej Klimowski and Anne Howeson selected 12 from the 25 students who responded to the initial call for interest. There were regular meetings during the summer term both at London Print Studio and the RCA. At the end of June the students took up the design of the publication and curation of the show in Church Street Library, leading the project to its conclusion at the exhibition and book launch on October 23rd 2018 at Church Street Library.

The illustrated book is a collection of 12 stories drawn from the lives of storytellers living in and around Church Street Market Westminster. Depicting some real life experiences - and some imagined, the stories tell tales of drama, mystery and imagination in everyday life at Church Street Market. The book is published on the 1st December 2018, and available from London Print Studio.
