Hi! We’re Talk shop!
We are a team of Illustration and Graphic Design students aiming to curate and share conversations with guests about working in the field(s) of Visual Communication, and broaden and enrich our understanding of the creative industry.
Our opening event will be a conversation with two guests from the world of creative recruitment and representation : Nicki Field, agent and head of illustration at Jelly London, an illustration agency and production company, and Shima Maher, founder and consultant at Peas, a London recruitment consultancy specialising in graphic design and moving image. They have experience in slightly different roles and areas of visual communication and a strong understanding of the current work landscape.
This event will be an informal interview interrogating work spaces, roles and rights within the evolving UK and global frameworks. We’ll address the types of work, roles, contracts that we can seek out and find, the influence of global and local contexts like COVID-19 and Brexit on hiring, work dynamics and spaces of work, as well as their process for sourcing talent and connecting the right people to form great work partnerships.
See you on the 29th at 10:30 AM GMT!
